Fine crystalline powder. It can be used either dry (applied to the patient’s skin after peeling) or as an emulsion (mixed with the peel and then applied to the skin).
Active components
The powder contains 90% pure L-ascorbic acid, which enhances the effect of peels. Using the powder immediately after mixing it with the Peel increases the bioavailability of this ingredient and maximises its effect.
In tissues, vitamin C contributes to the production of collagen, proteoglycans of intercellular substance. It participates in hydroxylation reactions of proline and lysine residues of procollagen to form hydroxyproline and hydroxylysine (posttranslational modification of collagen).
In addition, vitamin C:
- is a powerful antioxidant;
- stimulates collagen production and has a powerful anti-ageing effect;
- strengthens capillaries;
- demonstrates a significant brightening effect and fights pigment spots.
