It is specifically designed to counteract the glycation process that damages collagen and elastin.
Glycation process
This is an endogenous aging mechanism in which sugar molecules non-enzymatically bind to collagen and elastin. As a result of a series of irreversible chemical reactions, known as the Maillard reaction, advanced glycation end products (AGEs) are formed. They induce cross-linking of peptide chains, increasing the “rigidity” of the extracellular matrix. These products reduce the regenerative capacity of fibers, leading to visible signs of skin aging. The Skin Synergy Cream with anti-glycation activity is designed to correct the signs of mature skin aging, including those caused by glycation processes.
A derivative of xylose “wood sugar”, classified as a glycopeptide due to its carbohydrate and amino acid composition. This active ingredient, derived from beech bark, penetrates the epidermis and promotes the synthesis of procollagen I and II, collagen IV and VII, glycosaminoglycans, and glycoproteins. It deeply moisturizes the skin, helps restore turgor, reduces signs of aging and hyperpigmentation, and increases skin elasticity and density.
The active anti-glycation complex (Proxylane, Carnosine, Rosmarinyl Glucoside, Vaccinium Myrtillus Extract, Palmitoyl Dipeptide-10) blocks the formation of advanced glycation end products — one of the key causes of aging and loss of tone — thus preventing premature aging.
