Inhibits the synthesis of fatty esters and waxes, triglycerides, fatty acids in sebocytes.
Reduces sebum production, normalises the process of epithelial cell renewal in the sebaceous gland ducts, reduces inflammation. As an inhibitor of 5-alpha-reductase, prevent sebum production. Moisturises, has antiseptic and healing action.
Acne reduces the level of alpha-linoleic acid in the sebum, resulting in increased production of keratin inside the sebaceous gland, formation of comedones and impaired sebum outflow. Linoleic acid has anti-inflammatory properties and also reduces the viscosity of sebum, which helps to correct acne. Linoleic acid is a substrate for the synthesis of ceramide I, which restores the barrier properties of the skin.
